i’ve been waiting for the perfect person to come around and just sweep me off my feet. i want someone who can give me long lasting hugs and have a twinkle in their eyes when we make eye contact. i want someone i can feel the butterflies with. i’ve been waiting for someone who is able to make me laugh, but also laughs at my jokes. i’ve been waiting for someone who only flirts with me and wants to hang out with me, but at the same time has friends to hang out with the times that i hang out with mine. i want someone compatible, someone who makes me feel exceptional. it’s been a while, and i’m still waiting… but i guess, the wait is just a part of the process.

Becoming “more than friends”

You know you’re “becoming more than friends” when your crush flirts with you way more than normal. It’s actually really weird at first, but then you realize that it’s only because they like you more than a friend. Their texting language changes, the way they present themselves to you changes, the way they act around you with their friends changes. When you start to become “more than friends”, its obvious in their physical actions. They take every possible chance to make physical contact: accidentally bump hands/arms, tickle fights, poking each other randomly, hugs, etc. If they know that you like them, they will be WAY more open to sharing things and flirting with you than if they don’t know if you like them or not. It’s a tough game to play, and it’s hard to read your crush’s mind and know exactly what they think of you, but if things do work out with them, you know that your relationship will be amazing because you’re already good friends. Don’t care about labels or what other people think about your relationship. Its between you and him or her. They shouldn’t care either, and if they do, then they’re not the right person for you. They should respect you and your views. You guys should support each other and not care what others think.

When you really decide to let go and let your emotions control your relationship is when you will really enjoy it. Thinking about the technical stuff (what’s gonna happen in three months, etc) will just make you go crazy. Just live in the moment. Just let loose. Just follow your emotions.
